Asus has added two new netbooks to its popular Eee PC line up. The two 10.1-inch netbooks: Asus Eee PC 1015P and Eee PC 1015PE- come from its Seashell family, featuring Intel Pine Trail processors. Asus claims that both the netbooks will come with 13.5-hour battery back up. No doubt, this would be the most attractive feature of the two netbooks. Let us see what the two netbooks feature:
Display Eee PC 1015P and 1015PE feature 10.1-inch LED Backlight WSVGA screen with 1024x600 pixel resolution. Users are more likely to enjoy a satisfactory viewing experience, compared to other netbooks with same size display. Processor Both the netbooks feature Intel Atom Pine View-M N450 1.66GHz processor which is capable of preserving battery life. Pine View platform is Intel’s latest for the netbooks and N450 is perhaps one of the best in the Atom line up. RAM and Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Users have the choice between 1GB or 2GB DDR2 memory for the two netbook models. When it comes to storage, users have 3 options: 160GB, 250GB and 320GB- alongside 500GB Asus web storage. Graphics Both the netbooks will feature integrated graphics from Intel. Well, the integrated graphics may not be best of the graphics, but still it is for netbook which users should not any complain about. Keyboard Keyboard is another attractive feature of the two new netbooks. Generally, netbook keboards are not very comfortable for typing because of the small size of the keys. However, the Eee PC 1015P and 1015PE feature relatively large keys that users would find very comfortable to type. Unlike predecessor Eee PC 1005PE-P which features island style keys, the new Eee PC models come with keyboard where keys are lying at the base. Operating System, Network and Ports Asus features Windows 7 starter edition for both the Eee PC 1015P and 1015PE netbooks. For network and communication, the netbooks have Wi-Fi 802.11n, LAN port, Bluetooth 2.1 and VGA port. Among other features include 0.3 megapixel webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, headphone and microphone jacks and multi card reader. Asus also features stereo speakers with Hi-Definition Audio CODEC for entertainment. Battery The biggest attraction is six-cell 63Wh battery which ensures, as Asus claims, 13.5-hour of battery back up. That means, the battery charge will last for a full working day. So, users can carry either of the two models without worrying about the netbook charge. Overall, there is no difference between Asus Eee PC 1015P and 1015PE in terms of features, except two differences in terms of color and design. Asus is yet to announce the launch date and prices of the two new Eee PC netbooks. Related article: techtree stuff.tv Posted byBiplob Kishore Debat5:30 AMView the Original article
