Asus Eee PC 1215N to Feature Dual Core Atom CPU and NVIDIA Optimus Technology

Reports available in the media suggest that Taiwan-based computer maker Acer is going to launch a 13-inch netbook featuring a dual-core Atom CPU and NVIDIA ION 2 GPU. It seems that the features will affect its battery back up, but the reality is that the laptop will not affect the battery back up as it will feature NVIDIA Optimus technology.

In this way, Asus Eee PC 1215N netbook can meet the demand of different users. Firstly, it is proving a dual-core processor which will be able to do multi-tasking works. Secondly, its NVIDIA graphics card will ensure that users can run HD movie or other HD content smoothly. The specialty of Eee 1215N is that it is offering both the features without consuming much power which is rarely possible among the currently available netbooks.

The netbook is expected to be available in the market by May 13, 2010. However, nothing has been revealed about its price tag. Netbooks are generally priced at below $500, but given the features of Asus Eee 1215N, it seems that the netbook would cost you a bit high.
